MONICA SINGH
Bachelor of Commerce e-Business Marketing - 2016
What brought you to Humber and your program of study?
I chose Humber because I wanted a program that combined business strategy with real-world application. The Bachelor of Commerce in Digital Business Management stood out because it blended technology, entrepreneurship, and practical learning. I knew I didn’t want a purely theoretical degree; I wanted to learn by building, experimenting, and problem-solving alongside people who were also driven and hands-on.
What was your favourite Humber memory or experience?
My favourite memories were the collaborative projects and late-night group work sessions, where we learned from each other as much as from our professors. Humber brought together such a diverse mix of perspectives, and I grew a lot through those shared conversations, lectures, and team challenges.
What was Humber's greatest impact on your personal and professional life?
Humber helped me learn how to think entrepreneurially, to see challenges as opportunities and to believe that ideas can be built into something meaningful. It gave me the confidence to lead, to take initiative, and to build a community around purpose-driven work. The network and mentorship I accessed through the program continue to shape my journey today.
What are you up to now?
I’m the founder of Happy Cramps, a women’s health brand focused on natural menstrual pain relief and education. I’m building tools and products that help young people and women feel more supported, informed, and empowered in their relationship to their bodies. I also work in real estate, supporting individuals and families with housing transitions, while balancing ongoing community and wellness initiatives.
What else do you want to share (e.g. Memorable trip; If you had a superpower; Favourite food or coffee shop; Personal and professional interests; Awards and recognition; Other milestones)?
I’m passionate about menstrual health literacy, emotional wellness, storytelling, and accessible education for young girls. I recently began developing a children’s book series to normalize “period time” and body literacy in a gentle, culturally grounded way. Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me in Pilates, exploring Toronto’s coffee shops, or travelling when I can. I love building community and connecting with other women who are creating impact in their own ways.
